Google Chrome je besplatni internetski preglednik koji razvija Google.[1] Prvi put je izdat 2008. za Microsoft Windows, a kasnije je portiran za Linux, macOS, iOS i Android. Google Chrome je također glavna komponenta Chrome OSa, gdje služi kao platforma za pokretanje web aplikacija.

Google izdaje većinu izvornog koda od Chromea kao Chromium softver otvorenog koda.[2][3] Zapaziva komponenta koja nije otvorenog koda jeste ugrađeni Adobe Flash Player (kojeg je Chrome isključio kao zadani parametar od septembra 2016. godine[4]). Chrome je koristio WebKit layout engine do verzije 27. Od verzije 28, svi Chrome portovi osim iOS porta koriste Blink, fork WebKit enginea.[5][6][7]

Od februara 2017, StatCounter procjenjuje da Google Chrome ima 62% svjetskog učešća u internetskim preglednicima kao preglednik za desktop.[8] Ima također 52% tržišnog učešća šriom svih platformi zajedno,[9] jer je također najpopularniji preglednik za pametnet telefone. Njegov uspjeh je doveo do toga da Google raširi brednirano ime "Chrome" na različite ostale proizvode kao što su Chromecast, Chromebook, Chromebit, Chromebox i Chromebase.
