Gary Andrew Speed (8. septembar 1969 – 27. novembar 2011) je bio velški profesionalni nogometaš, koji je igrao od 1988. do 2010. Prve nogometne korake je napravio u Leeds Unitedu, za čiji je omladinski pogon igrao od 1984. do 1988. Profesionalni ugovor za Leeds United potpisuje 1988.[2] Za Leeds je odigrao 248 utakmica i postigao 39 golova. Godine 1996. prelazi u Everton za 3,5 miliona funti. U Evertonu se zadržao dvije sezone. Potom prelazi u Newcastle za 5,5 miliona funti. Za ekipu Newcastle je igrao od 1998. do 2004. Igrao je još za Bolton i Sheffield.
Za mladu nogometnu reprezentaciju Velsa je odigrao tri utakmice i postigao 2 gola. Za seniorsku reprezentaciju Velsa je odigrao 85 utakmica i postigao 7 golova.
