Dekameron je zbirka od 100 pripovjedaka koju je napisao italijanski autor Giovanni Boccaccio.[1] Vjerovatno je započeta 1350 a završena 1353. To je srednjevjekovni alegorijski rad čije priče imaju širok spektar karakteristika: od erotskih do tragičnih. Teme su ljubavne ili o lukavosti i raznim neslanim šalama. Iako je to veliko umjetničko djelo sa elementima zabavnog karaktera, ipak je to i važan historijski dokument života u 14. vijeku.
