DOCSIS

Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) jest međunarodni telekomunikacijski standard koji dozvoljava da se doda prenos podataka velikog protoka postojećem sistemu kablovske televizije (CATV). Koriste ga mnogi kablovski operateri za pružanje pristupa širokopojasnog interneta putem postojeće hibridne optičko-koaksijalne infrastrukture (hybrid fiber-coaxial ili HFC).

Prvobitni stvaraoci DOCSIS-a bili su CableLabs i sljedeće kompanije: Arris, BigBand Networks, Broadcom, Cisco, Comcast, Conexant, Correlant, Cox, Harmonic, Intel, Motorola, Netgear, Terayon, Time Warner Cable i Texas Instruments.[1][2][3]
