D je 6. slovo bosanske abecede, i četvrto u alfabetima drugih zapadnoevropskih jezika i drugih širom svijeta. Označava zvučni dentalni okluzivni suglasnik.
Semitsko slovo Dāleth se možda razvilo iz logograma za ribu ili vrata.[1] Postoji mnogo različitih egipatskih hijeroglifa koji su mogli inspirisati ovo. U semitskom, starogrčkom[2] i latinskom,[3] slovo je predstavljalo /d/ ; u etruščanskom alfabetu[4] slovo je bilo arhaično, ali ipak sačuvano. Ekvivalentno grčko slovo je delta, Δ.[2] Također znači i:
- rimski broj 500
- u muzici ton d
- u geometriji oznaku za prečnik kruga
- u hemiji znak za deuterij, izotop vodika
- u SI sistemu prefiks deci (1/10, d)
- međunarodnu automobilsku oznaku za Njemačku
