Balar

Balar je imaginarno ostrvo iz trilogije Gospodar prstenova.[1] Balar je nastao na sledeći način: Valar Ulmo je upotrijebio ostrvo Tol Eseju kao veliki brod na koji je ukrcao vilin-rod Telere. U plićacima Belerianda se ovo ostrvo nasukalo i iz od njega se odlomilo parče zemlje pod imenom Balar. Ovo ostrvo je postalo veoma lijepo, sa plažama punim bisera. Poslije pada i uništenja Falasa, Cirdan i njegov narod su našli utočište na ovom ostrvu. Ostrvo Balar je potopljeno pod morem, zajedno sa čitavim Beleriandom, nakon Rata Bijesnih i Velike Bitke.
