Alpha Pyxidis (Alpha Pyx; α Pyx) je najsjajnija zvijezda u sazviježđu Kompas. Ubraja se u divove spektralne klase B1.5III. Njen prividan sjaj iznosi oko 3.67 mag. Udaljena je oko 880 sg. Klasificirana je kao promjenljiva podgrupe Beta Cephei. Njen sjaj je 10.000 jači od Sunca a masa 10 puta veća od Sunčeve. Kandidat je za supernovu.[2]
