Імены ваўкоў былі публічна раскрыты 4 лютага 2023 года як Бэн Адамс і Гаўтэ Ормасэн падчас фіналу Melodi Grand Prix 2023. Пасля перамогі Melodi Grand Prix 2022 яны прадстаўлялі Нарвегію на конкурсе песні Еўрабачанне 2022 са сваёй дэбютнай песняй Give That Wolf a Banana. Назва гурта — гэта спалучэнне слоў subwoofer і wolf.[3]
