Secernentea — асноўны клас круглых чарвей, характарызуецца шматлікімі хваставымі сасочкамі, вылучальная сістэма складаецца з бакавых каналаў. Як і ва ўсіх нематод, у іх няма крывяноснай і дыхальнай сістэмы.
Secernentea утрымліваюць некалькі паразітычных відаў сярод Rhabditia і Spiruria. Caenorhabditis elegans — вядомая лабараторная жывёла, якая выкарыстоўваецца як мадэльны арганізм у генетычных даследаваннях.
