CEO
CEO (амер. англ.: chief executive officer, даслоўна — галоўны выканаўчы дырэктар) — вышэйшая службовая асоба кампаніі (генеральны дырэктар, старшыня кіравання, прэзідэнт, кіраўнік). Вызначае агульную стратэгію прадпрыемства, прымае рашэнні на вышэйшым узроўні, выконвае прадстаўніцкія абавязкі.
Шматлікія дыскусіі ў перакладніцкай супольнасці маюць адзін вынік: перакладаць гэты тэрмін на беларускую мову трэба як «генеральны дырэктар», бо па сваіх функцыях CEO найбольш блізкі да гэтага беларускага паняцця.
На справе гэта пасада шмат у чым залежыць ад структуры пэўнай кампаніі. Таму яна можа пазначаць як першага чалавека кампаніі, так і толькі аднаго з яе дырэктараў, які выконвае некаторыя вызначаныя абавязкі.
