An dr Nordküschte befindet sich e sichere Landeplatz. Usgangspunggt für e Reis uf d Insle isch dr Ort Resolute, den gohts witer nach Norde über dr Stützpunggt Eureka uff dr Ellesmere-Insle.

D Ward-Hunt-Insle liggt im Ward-Hunt-Ysschelf rund 5 km nördlich vo Ellesmere in dr Mündig vom Disraeli-Fiord in de Arktisch Ozean. D Nordküste vo Ward Hunt liggt nur rund 780 km vom Nordpol entfärnt uf fascht 83°06′ nördlichi Breiti, Sit übr 100 Yoor isch dorum d Inslè hüffig au Startpunggt für Expeditzione zu Nordpol gsi.

D Insle isch nur 6 km lang und 3 km breit.
