Im Johr 1460 hei d Bärner d Herrschaft Schänkebärg eroberet. Thale isch dann de Sitz vom Gricht gsi und het zum Amt Schänkebärg ghört. D Reformation isch, wi überall z Bärn, im 1528i iigführt worde.
Im März 1798 sin d Franzose in d Schwiiz iimarschiirt und hei di Helvetisch Republik usgruefe. Thale ghört sither zum Kanton Aargau.
