D Verfolgig het aber nid ufghöört und dr Baudin isch uf Amsterdam. 1542 het er z Antwärpe as Arzt gschafft, wo mä in äinere Nacht alli Brotestante gfange gnoo und hiigrichdet het. Im Baudin isch s glunge z flüchte und er isch uf Baasel. Dört het er zerst in dr Druckerei vom Froben as Korrektor gschafft, und sich denn as Arzt niidergloo. 1575 isch er usserordentlige Brofässer an dr Uniwersidäät Baasel worde und isch 1580/81 Dekan vo dr Medizinische Fakultäät gsi.

Dr Jean Bauhin isch dr Stammvater vo dr Baaseler Gleertefamilie Bauhin gsi, wo bis ins 18. Joorhundert z Baasel e Hufe Mediziner und sustigi Akademiker gstellt het. Sini Söön Caspar und Johann si berüemti Ärzt und Botaniker worde.
