Ir Politik steit si mittig-liberal. Im Nationalroot het si 28 Sitz, im Ständeroot 12. Si isch e Bundesrootspartei und het zwei vo siibe Bundesrät: dr Ignazio Cassis im EDA und dr Karin Keller-Sutter im EFD. Parteipräsident isch de Aargauer Ständerat Thierry Burkart. Präsident vo dr FDP-Liberale Fraktion in dr Bundesversammlig (Bundesparlament vo dr Schwiiz) isch dr Neueburger Nationalroot Damien Cottier.
