Belchen (alem. Belche) isch de dütsch Name vo fünf verschidene Berg: De eine isch in Dütschland (Schwarzwald), de ander in de Schwyz (Jura) und drei sin in Frankrich (Vogese). De Name Belche wird vilmol us em keltischè herglaitet, us em Name vom Sunnegott Belenus (vo bel «hell, glänzig»).[1] Die Theori wird aber in dr Sprochwisseschaft ender kritisch gsää. Statt dem wird de Namè vo keltisch belakos «de Glänzig, de Wiss» oder au vom alemannische Vogelname Belche, herglaitet.[2]
