Produktion

Der Deig für d Bagel wird zerst abküehlt, in Wasser kocht und denn bache. S Loch in der Mitti isch ursprünglig für e Transport an Holzstange nützlig gsi.

D Bagel wärde pur, mit Mohn oder Sesam, mit süesse Zuedate wie Zimetwiibeeri, Blaubeeri oder Schoggolade oder mit reesere wie Chees bache. Mä serviert si au ufgschnitte und füllt se mit Salat, Frischchees oder Ufschnitt, in de USA wärde si hüfig ufgschnite und mit Lachs und Frischchees beleit.

Gschicht

Entstande isch de Bagel im 16. Johrhundert oder 17. Johrhundert warschynts z Pole. Dur jüdischi Ywanderer isch er hüt vor allem z Nordamerika verbreitet.
