Andwil isch e Ortschaft i de politische Gmaind Birwinke vom Bezirk Wyfälde im Kanton Thurgau i de Schwiz.

Gschicht

D Ortsgmaind Andwil isch 1812 gründet worde und hät zur Munizipalgmaind Birwinke ghört. Uf em Guggebüel hät de Johann Jacob Wehrli im Joor 1853 e landwirtschaftlichi Schuel ygrichdet, wo 1870 wäge Schüelermangel wider hät müese gschlosse wärde. 1878 isch z Andwil e Fäldschützegsellschaft gründet worde und die hät 2018 mit de Schützegsellschaft Birwinke-Happerswil zu de Schütze Birwinke fusioniert.[1]

Uf de 1. Jännar 1995 hät di ehemolig Ortsgmaind Andwil zäme mit de Ortsgmainde Klarsreuti, Mattwil, Happerswil-Buech, Birwinke und de Munizipalgmaind Birwinke zur politische Gmaind Birwinke fusioniert.
