Det hot er Chemie schtudiert, und sit 1862 versuecht s Nitroglyzerin als Schprengschtoff in d Technik iizführe. 1864 isch em denn si Labor in d Luft gflooge und dr Nobel hot doruf versuecht d Handhabbarkeit vum Schprengschtoff bi gliichbliibender Schprengkraft z verbessre. 1867 isch em des dur d Erfindung vum Dynamit glunge.
