Workflowy adalah aplikasi berbasis web yang berfungsi sebagai alat untuk membuat kerangka atau struktur pohon (outliner), yang dikembangkan oleh Mike Turitzin dan Jesse Patel dalam program startup Y Combinator. Ide di balik Workflowy muncul dari pengalaman kerja Patel sebelumnya di bidang manajemen proyek serta kekecewaannya terhadap kurangnya alat bantu yang memadai.[1]
Fitur utama dari aplikasi ini adalah daftar bersarang berbasis teks. Dalam tulisannya di The Guardian, novelis Emma Donoghue mencatat bahwa aspek perangkat lunak ini memungkinkan dirinya untuk menangkap dan mengorganisir "gagasan-gagasan yang muncul secara acak".[2]
Aplikasi ini beroperasi menggunakan model bisnis freemium, dan antarmuka sederhana yang menyerupai daftar telah dijuluki "uncluttered" oleh PC World pada tahun 2013 [3] serta "minimalistically elegant" oleh The Atlantic pada tahun 2016.[4] Sejak peluncurannya, Workflowy telah mengembangkan basis pengguna setia yang oleh Geek Wire digambarkan memiliki "a cult-like following."[5]
