Robert Michael Sheehan (bahasa Irlandia: Roibeárd Mícheál Ó Siodhacháin; lahir 7 Januari 1988) adalah aktor asal Irlandia. Dia terkenal karena peran televisi seperti Nathan Young di Misfits, Darren di Love/Hate dan Klaus Hargreeves di The Umbrella Academy, serta peran film seperti Tom Natsworthy di Mortal Engines dan Simon Lewis di The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
Sheehan telah menerima beberapa nominasi Penghargaan Film dan Televisi Irlandia dan BAFTA Award.
Kehidupan awal
Sheehan lahir di Portlaoise, County Laois, Irlandia. Dia adalah anak bungsu dari tiga bersaudara yang lahir dari Maria dan Joe Sheehan, yang merupakan seorang garda.[1][2] Setelah Penguatan, Adam ditambahkan ke namanya setelah Michael.
Di sekolah, ia memainkan banjo, bodhrán dan sendok, setelah bercanda bahwa ia seperti "Footloose dengan sendok";[3] ia juga berpartisipasi dalam Fleadh Cheoil.[3]
Sheehan bersekolah di sekolah St Paul di Portlaoise. Tidak yakin apakah akting adalah pilihan karier yang berkelanjutan, ia belajar film dan televisi di Institut Teknologi Galway-Mayo. Sheehan tinggal di London.[5] Ia sebelumnya tinggal di Los Angeles.
Sheehan dikenal karena norma gender yang menantang dalam pakaiannya di karpet merah.[6] Ia telah berbicara secara terbuka tentang bereksperimen dengan seksualitasnya ketika muda, tetapi akhirnya diidentifikasi sebagai heteroseksual.[7]
Ia mulai menjalin hubungan dengan aktris Sofia Boutella pada Maret 2014. Pada Oktober 2018, ia mengungkapkan bahwa mereka telah berpisah.[7][8][9]
