Purusha Sukta

Purusha Sukta (पुरुषसूक्तम्, IAST: Puruṣasūktam) adalah sebuah himne dalam Rigveda, yang dipersembahkan kepada Purusha, Sang "Makhluk Kosmis".[1] Himne ini dianggap sebagai tambahan yang relatif belakangan dalam kitab suci — kemungkinan untuk memberikan legitimasi teologis bagi sistem politik Kuru yang semakin tidak setara — dan merupakan satu-satunya himne yang secara eksplisit menyebutkan empat warna , yang merujuk pada pembagian hierarkis masyarakat.[1][2] Himne ini juga ditemukan dalam tiga Weda lainnya, meskipun dalam bentuk yang sedikit berbeda.[2]
