Pleurothallis adalah salah satu genus anggrek. Namanya berasal dari kata Yunani pleurothallos yang berarti "cabang seperti rusuk", merujuk pada batang seperti rusuk pada banyak spesies anggotanya. Genus ini sering disingkat Pths dalam perdagangan hortikultura.

Ini adalah genus yang sangat besar, yang berisi lebih dari 1.200 spesies, menjadikannya genus anggrek terbesar kedua setelah Bulbophyllum. Pada tahun 2004, jumlahnya berkurang lebih dari setengahnya ketika banyak spesiesnya yang dipindahkan ke genus baru.[1]

Daftar spesies

Pleurothallis adalah sebuah genus besar yang sebelumnya berisi sekitar 1.240 anggrek dari keluarga anggrek (Orchidaceae). Pada tahun 2020, Kew Plants of the World Online mendaftarkan sekitar 540 spesies dalam genus tersebut.[2]

Banyak spesies yang sebelumnya diklasifikasikan dalam genus Pleurothallis telah dipindahkan ke marga lain.[2][3]
