Planiliza adalah genus ikan belanak yang ditemukan di perairan laut pesisir, muara, dan sungai di Indo-Pasifik.

Taksonomi

Genus ini dibangkitkan untuk hampir semua spesies Indo-Pasifik yang sebelumnya dimasukkan ke dalam Liza karena analisis kladistika berbasis DNA menemukan Liza sebagai genus polifili, dengan beberapa spesies ditempatkan sebagai saudara dari spesies tipe dalam genus Chelon dan hampir semua spesies Indo-Pasifik menjadi Planiliza.[1][2]
