Latar belakang

Duo ini bertemu di SoundCloud dan mulai membuat remix bersama sebelum mereka mengetahui bahwa mereka akan bersekolah di sekolah menengah yang sama. Duo ini memilih nama NOTD dengan menggabungkan dua huruf terakhir dari masing-masing nama belakang mereka dan membalikkannya.[3]
