Kecoak jepang (Periplaneta japonica), atau kecoak yamato,[1] adalah sebuah spesies kecoak yang berasal dari Jepang, yang beradaptasi untuk hidup di iklim utara yang lebih dingin.[2][3][4] Spesies ini memiliki siklus hidup fleksibel selama satu sampai dua tahun, tergantung waktu menetasnya, dan tidak lazim dalam dapat bertahan dua musim dingin sebagai nimfa diapaus sebelum mencapai masa dewasa.[3]
