Kalong india (Pteropus medius), juga dikenal sebagai kalong india besar, adalah spesies kalong yang berasal dari anak benua India. Kalong ini merupakan salah satu jenis kelelawar terbesar di dunia. Kelelawar ini menarik sebagai vektor penyakit, karena mampu menularkan beberapa virus ke manusia. Kelelawar ini aktif di malam hari dan terutama memakan buah-buahan matang, seperti mangga dan pisang, serta nektar. Spesies ini sering dianggap sebaagi hama karena kecenderungannya untuk merusak perkebunan buah, tetapi manfaat penyerbukan dan perbanyakan bijinya seringkali lebih besar daripada dampak konsumsi buahnya.[4]
