GK Persei (juga dikenal Nova Persei 1901) adalah ledakan nova yang terang yang terjadi pada tahun 1901 yang mencapai magnitudo maksimal mulai dari 0.2, nova paling terang di zaman modern hingga Nova Aquilae 1918. Setelah memudar dalam kegelapan di magnitudo 12 hingga 13 selama awal abad ke 20, GK Persei mulai menampakan ledakan-ledakan di magnitudo 2 hingga 3 (sekitar 7 hingga 15 kali kecerahan diam). Sejak sekitar tahun 1980, ledakan-ledakan ini menjadi hal yang biasa terjadi, biasanya berlangsung sekitar dua bulan dan terjadi sekitar tiga tahun sekali. Karena hal itu, GK Persei seperti telah berubah dari sebuah nova klasik seperti Nova Aquilae 1918 menjadi sesuatu yang menyerupai bintang variable katalismik tipe dwarf nova.
Firework nebula yang berada di sekeliling GK Persei, sebuah sisa nova pertama kali terdeteksi tahun 1902 yang terdiri dari awan gas yang berkembang dan gelembung debu yang bergerak hingga 1200 km/s.[3]
Nova Persei 1901 ditemukan 21 February oleh Thomas David Anderson.[4]
