Cynodonteae adalah tribus besar dari rumput-rumputan dalam subfamili Chloridoideae, dengan lebih dari 800 spesies.[1][2][3][4]
Seperti kebanyakan anggota subfamilinya, spesies dalam tribus ini beradaptasi dengan iklim yang hangat dan gersang serta menggunakan jalur fotosintesis C4. Beberapa spesies, seperti rumput Bermuda (Cynodon dactylon) atau rumput belulang (Eleusine indica), merupakan gulma yang tersebar luas dan telah diperkenalkan di banyak negara.
Sebagian besar dari 94 marga diklasifikasikan ke dalam salah satu dari 21 subtribus, tetapi beberapa masih belum ditempatkan (incertae sedis) dalam tribus ini.[1]
