Chironex adalah genus dari ubur-ubur kotak dalam famili Chirodropidae. Secara tradisional, hanya terdapat satu spesies, C. fleckeri, yang diakui dalam genus ini, tetapi pada tahun 2009 spesies kedua, C. yamaguchii, telah dideskripsikan.[1] Sengatan genus ini sangat berbisa, dan kedua spesies telah menyebabkan korban jiwa manusia. Berdasarkan pengetahuan saat ini, genus ini terbatas pada pusat Indo-Pasifik, mulai dari selatan Jepang ke utara Australia.[1][2]
