Caesarisme

Dalam ilmu politik, istilah Caesarisme mengidentifikasi dan menggambarkan ideologi otoriter, populis, dan otokratis yang terinspirasi oleh Julius Caesar, pemimpin Roma, dari tahun 49 SM hingga 44 SM. [1] [2] [3]

Caesarisme dipakai dalam berbagai cara sepanjang abad. Ragam pemakaian 'Caesarisme' telah didokumentasikan.[4][5] Ini dipakai oleh para proponen darinya, meskipun juga dipakai dalam hal ejekan.

Sejarah istilah

Pemakaian pertama kata tersebut yang didokumentasikan adalah pada abad ke-19 saat ini dipakai oleh sejarawan Jerman Johannesburg Friedrich Böhmer pada 1846 untuk menyebut negara yang menaungi Gereja dengan kontrolnya.[4]
