Budmerice adalah sebuah desa serta munisipalitas di Slowakia barat. Desa ini berada di Distrik Pezinok di Region Bratislava.[4] Desa yang berpenduduk kurang lebih 2.406 jiwa ini terletak di selatan Štefanová dan Častá, di sebelah timur Dubová dan barat di utara Jablonec dan Vištuk.

Etimologi

Nama ini berasal dari nama tokoh terkemuka dari Slavik BudeměrЪ dengan akhiran Slavik/Slovak -ice. Nama ini kemudian digunakan oleh Jerman sebagai Pudmeritz yang kemudian juga memengaruhi nama Slovakianya menjadi Pudmerice. Pada abad 13-14, nama dari bahasa asal Hungaria Kerestúr (1296 Keresthwr) juga telah digunakan secara bersamaan, tetapi kemudian ditinggalkan demi menghormati Slovakia. Bentuk bahasa Jerman Pudmeritz pada tahun 1899 diganti namanya menjadi Gidrafa.[5]
