Si Manuel ay Pilipinong Aktor noong bago ba sakupin ng Hapones ang Pilipinas. Taon-taon lang siya kung gumawa ng pelikula. Una siyang lumabas sa isang Dramang pelikula ang Sa Tawag ng Diyos noong 1934

Samantalang isang Dramang Pampamilya naman ang kanyang sinamahan noong 1935 ang Hatol ng Langit

Isang pelikulang tungkol sa digmaan naman ang nilabasan niya sa pelikulang Hagase Tu Voluntad
