Machaerium Pers. é um género botânico pertencente à família Fabaceae[1][2].
Tem por sinônimo Drepanocarpus G.Mey. Os individuos desse gênero são todos de substrato terrícola nas formas de vidas arbusto, árvore e liana[3].
