XQuery

XQuery (XML Query) — მოთხოვნათა და ფუნქციური პროგრამირების ენა, რომელიც განკუთვნილია XML, JSON, ჩვეულებრივი ტექსტის ან სხვა დომენ-სპეციფიკური ფორმატის სტრუქტურირებულ და არასტრუქტურირებულ მონაცემებთან სამუშაოდ. ენის შემუშავებას ხელმძღვანელობს W3C-ს შემადგენლობაში შემავალი „XML Query სამუშაო ჯგუფი“. შემუშავების პროცესი მჭიდრო კავშირშია XSLT-ის შემმუშავბელ ჯგუფთან XSL Working Group; ეს ორი ჯგუფი ერთობლივად პასუხისმგებელია XPath-ზე, რომელიც XQuery-ს ნაწილია.

2007 წლის 23 იანვარს XQuery 1.0-მა მოიპოვა W3C Recommendation სტატუსი; 2014 წლის 8 აპრილს იგივე სტატუსი მოიპოვა XQuery 3.0-მა, ხოლო 2017 წლის 21 მარტს W3C Recommendation სტატუსი მოიპოვა XQuery 3.1-მა.
