Wenzel Matiegka (vere Václav Tomáš Matějka, ankaŭ Wenzeslav aŭ Wenzeslaus Matiegka, baptita la 6-an de julio 1773 en Choceň; mortinta la 19-an de januaro 1830 en Vieno) estis bohema komponisto kaj gitaristo.

Vivo

Matiegka studis en Prago juron kaj krom tio muzikon ĉe subpastro Josef Jelínek. Ekde 1800 li loĝis kaj laboris kiel instruisto pri pian- kaj gitaroludo en Vieno. En 1817 li fariĝis ĥordirektisto ĉe la preĝejo Sankta Leopoldo, en 1821 ĉe la preĝejo Sankta Jozefo.

Matiegka komponis mesojn kaj aliaj ekleziaj muzikoj. Li tamen diskoniĝis precipe pro siaj proksimume tridek verkoj por gitaro kaj nokturno por fluto, vjolo kaj gitaro, kiun Franz Schubert aliverkis per aldono de violonĉelovoĉo al kvarteto kaj kiun oni longtempe tenis kiel komponaĵo de Schubert.

En la arĥivo de la Societo de la Muziŝatantoj en Vieno konserviĝis manskribaĵo de Wilhelm Klingenbrunner el la jaro 1826, kiu surlistigas la verkojn de Matiegka.
