Waterford (norene Veðrafjǫrðr, irlande Port Láirge) aŭ Vadrefjordo fondita en la jaro 914 de Vikingoj, estas la plej malnova urbo en Irlando[1].
En 2006 la urbo havis 49 240 loĝantojn, el kiuj 45 775 loĝis en la urbo mem, kun 3 465 en la antaŭurboj de Graflando Kilkenny[2].
La haveno de Waterford jam estas unu el la plej gravaj en la lando dum pli ol jarmilo. Ĉefa industrio dum la 19-a jarcento estis ŝipkonstruado. Hodiaŭ Waterford famiĝas tra la mondo pro Waterford Crystal (kristalo) heredaĵo de unu el la plej sukcesaj kaj longdaŭraj industrioj en la urbo, farado de kristalaĵoj. Vitron, aŭ kristalon, oni produktis en la urbo ekde la jaro 1783.
