Volvulo

Volvulo estas tordiĝo de intesta anso tiel, ke ĝi malhelpas trapason de solidaĵoj, likvaĵoj aŭ gasoj.

La procedo forigi volvulon nomiĝas senvolvuligo. Senvolvuligon oni povas fari endoskopio (per medicina sondilo).

Tamen, kiam pro denaska trolongeco de la intesto ĉi tiu emas volvuli en difinita punkto, preferindas operacio en kiu oni eltranĉas la malmankantan intesteron.
