Ted NASMITH [ted nesmis] naskiĝis en Goderich en Usona ŝtato Ontario. Li laboradas kaj loĝas en Markham en Kanado, ĉefe kiel ilustristo de Tolkienaĵoj. La intereson pri Tolkien li havis ekde adoleskeco. El liaj projektoj plej elstaras la ilustrado de The Silmarillion. Ted Nasmith kutime pentras tre fotece per tre fortaj olefarboj, io kio igis iujn kritikistojn akuzi lin pro "glateco".
