Sublimo

Sublimo (el la latina sublimis : "tiu, kiu estas leviĝanta") estas filozofia kaj estetika koncepto. Ĝi difinas kvaliton tiel fortan kaj kun tiel larĝa amplitudo, ke ĝi transcendas belecon. La koncepto de sublimo estas kunligita al tiu de neatingebleco : ĝi laŭ filozofoj devas kaŭzi miron, pro timo aŭ respekto.
Laŭ alia, ĉiutaga difino, io sublima estas io grandioza kaj tre impona, kion tamen senseblas nur per tre subtila sentokapablo.
