PostScript

PostScript (PS) estas komputila lingvo por kreado de vektoraj bildoj. Ĝi per matematikaj funkcioj kreas "dinamikajn" tiparojn. La sistemo evoluiĝis per la programistoj John Warnock, Charles Geschke, Doug Brotz, Ed Taft kaj Bill Paxton de la firmao Adobe en 1982. Ĝi uzatas kiel paĝpriskriba lingvo en perkomputila eldonado.

La PostScript-tiparoj, nomataj Type-1-tiparoj, fine de la 1980-aj jaroj ricevis konkurencon per la TrueType-tiparoj de la konzernoj Apple kaj Microsoft. Ambaŭ sistemoj pluevoluiĝis paralele.
