Plutonito

Plutonitoj, ankaŭ intruzipetroj, estas petroj, kiuj ekestas en granda profundo per la kristaliĝo de magmoj. Ili formiĝas je altaj temperaturoj kaj altaj premoj kaj estas subspeco de magmaj petroj. Plutonitoj malvarmiĝas en la subteraj intruzioj (plutonoj) esence pli malrapide ol la tersurface ŝtoniĝinta magmo (lafo), el kiu ekestas la vulkanitoj.
