Misoprostolo, vendata interalie sub la markonomo Cytotec, estas kuracilo uzata por stimuli naskon artefarite, kaŭzi aborton, preventi kaj kuraci stomakajn ulcerojn kaj por kuraci postnaskan sangadon pro malbona kuntiro de la utero.[1] Por abortoj ĝi ofte estas uzata kune kun mifepristono aŭ metotreksato.[2] Sole ĝia efikeco por ĉi tiu celo estas inter 66 % kaj 90 %.[3] Ĝi estas prenata buŝe, sublange aŭ envagine.[2][4]
