Maltozo
Maltozo estas sukero ekestanta dum la ĝermado de terpomo aŭ hordeo, ekzemple dum produktado de malto. Ĝi ekestas per malkompono de amelo per amelazo.
Maltozo havas la resuman formulon C12H22O11 kaj apartenas al la disaĥaridoj. Ĝi bone solviĝas en akvo (1,08 g/cm³) kaj fandiĝas ĉe ĉirkaŭ 433 K (160 °C).
Kelkfoje oni aldonas maltozon al biero sed tiam la biero ne plu plenumas al la germana leĝo de pureco.
