Lyman BELDING (12an de junio 1829 - 22an de novembro 1917) estis elstara usona ornitologo.

Li estis filo de Joshua Belding kaj Rosetta Belding iam Cooley en West Farms, Masaĉuseco, sed poste translokiĝis al Kingston, Wyoming Valley, Pensilvanio kiam li estis 7-jaraĝa kaj fine al Kalifornio. Li estis maristo sed iĝis birdemulo post akiri sian unuan birdolibron en 1876.

Kiam li retiriĝis al Stockton, Kalifornio, iĝis fakulo pri avifaŭno de Kalifornio kaj Baja California. Li estis enterigita en Rural Cemetery en Stockton, Kalifornio.
