Leoparda rano
Leopardaj ranoj, nomataj ankaŭ herbejaj ranoj, estas la arketipaj herboranoj de Nordameriko, nome grupo de ĉirkaŭ 14 specioj ene de la rana genro Rana. Ili estas ĝenerale tre similaj, verdaj kun elstara nigra punkteco (kvankam pli kiel de gepardo ol de leopardo). Ili povas esti apartigitaj pro sia distribuado kaj kelkaj pli subtilaj trajtoj pri ekologio, kutimaro, morfologia kaj genetiko. Ties teritorio etendas tra moderklimata kaj subtropika Nordameriko al norda Meksiko, kaj kelkaj specioj troviĝas eĉ pli sude.
