Jonathan Jones estas brita genetikisto. Li naskiĝis la 14-an de julio 1954, do nun estas 71-jaraĝa, kaj akiris sian akademian edukon en la "Petrodomo" aŭ Peterhouse, kolegio de la universitato de Kembriĝo. En 2025 li honoriĝis per la Wolf-Premio pri Agrikulturo, kune kun la kolegaj honorigitoj Jeffery Dangl kaj Brian Staskawicz.
