La himboj estas afrika etno parenca al la hereroj en la nordo de la respubliko Namibio. Ili apartenas al la lingvofamilio de la Bantuoj. Proksimume 16.000 homojn tiu paŝtista popolo ankoraŭ en 2002 laŭdire havis.

Kvankam la Himboj ne posedas vorton por la blua koloro, ili scipovas facile distingi nuancojn de la verda koloro kiuj al aliaj popoloj estas ne tiom facile distingeblaj.[1]
