Embaraso
Embaraso (komparu ekzemple kun la angla vorto "embarrassment") laŭ PIV estas
- situacio, el kiu oni ne povas facile eliri, kaj kiu kaŭzas ĝenon, ŝanceliĝon aŭ konfuzon (en la germana lingvo "Peinlichkeit"), respektive
- la sento mem, kaŭzita de tia situacio (en la germana lingvo "Verlegenheit").
Temas do pri sento de ĝeno, konfuziĝo, nesekureco kaj honto, kiu ofte aperas en socie malagrablaj situacioj, en kiu la koncernato perdas parton de sia digno aŭ reputacio.
