CAPTCHA
Captcha [kepĉa] (akronimo por angla "completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart" = "komplete aŭtomata publika testo de Turing por distingi komputilojn kaj homojn") estas speco de defio-responsa testo uzata en komputiko por determini, ĉu la uzanto estas homo aŭ ne. En Esperanto oni povus paroli pri 'kaptila bildo'.
La vorto ekuziĝis en 2000 fare de Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum kaj Nicholas J. Hopper de la Universitato Carnegie Mellon, kaj John Langford de IBM. Kutima speco de captcha postulas ke la uzanto entajpu literojn de distordita kaj/aŭ obskurigita vico de literoj aŭ ciferoj, kiuj aperas sur la ekrano. Ĉar la testo estas administrata de komputilo, kontraste al la normala testo de Turing, kiu estas administrata de homo, oni foje priskribas captcha kiel inversan teston de Turing.
Oni uzas captcha ekzemple kiel ilon por protekti aŭtomatajn registradojn ĉe retpoŝtaj servoj kaj malhelpi sinsekvan spamadon.
