Adolf Laky

Adolf LAKY [laki], laŭ hungarlingve kutima nomordo Laky Adolf estis hungara juvelisto kaj mecenato.

Adolf Laky [1] naskiĝis la 14-an de junio 1829 en Pest (urbo). Li mortis la 6-an de oktobro 1910 en Budapeŝto.

Biografio

Patro de Adolf Laky estis juvelisto, kiu jam frue instruis sian filon pri juvelado. Li partoprenis en liberecbatalo inter 1848–1849, post la fiasko li rifuĝis al Parizo. En 1855 li transprenis la metiejon kaj tiutempe li iĝis fama juvelisto. Lia metiejo estis renkontejo de la riĉuloj. Lia ĉefverko estas riparado de la hungara krono en 1867. Li vivis modeste, li ofte donacis monon al diversaj patriotaj kaj ekleziaj celoj, ekzemple por preĝejokonstruado. Li rifuzis ĉiujn premiojn.
